Ruth Hurdle

Ruth was born in a suburb of Toronto. In 1987 her and her husband moved to Midland, Ontario.  Art has always been a part of her life but it was not until her three children were in school full-time did she decide to pursue art seriously.  Since then, she has studied with numerous professional artists in a variety of art media.

Her favourite theme to paint is the landscape en plein air, finishing up in studio.   She works in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolour, graphite and air brush.

She also paints murals privately and publicly and has found a niche restoring murals around Ontario.  These restored murals can be found in Midland, Collingwood, Georgetown, Tiverton and Lucknow.

She is very involved with the Quest Art School + Gallery and was one of the original artists involved in opening and exhibiting in their first gallery. She has been teaching art to children for many years in local schools as an outreach teacher.

She welcomes commissions for murals, portraits, landscape and any other painting need you may have.
