After completing a four-year Fine Arts degree in London, Ontario, Lisa attended Georgian College specializing in sculpture and graphic design which lead to the opening of the Natural Edge Studio Gallery in Barrie. After apprenticing with senior painter William Ronald and completing an internship at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Lisa found her love for teaching through the Van Go Programme at the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie. Lisa also teaches at Artfax in Scarborough, at Montessori Schools, the Clarkson Society of Artist in Mississauga and the YMCA in Barrie, as well as teaching privately, specializing in special needs and autistic children. This led to creating her own business Creative Madness” which includes Intuitive Art Therapy, Workshops & School Programs , Art Parties, Murals, Belly & Body Casts as well as custom Stone Carving and Painting . Her work has been exhibited all over Ontario and is collected internationally.
“It is the form that never existed in the world before . It is the energy of life within the art that connects with the human soul. For that very reason, art is essential!”
Creativity is paramount and Lisa still manages to find time for her husband and four children while furthering her own career in stone carving and painting. She has made it her mission to bring art out to the world and try to educate everyone about the importance of creativity in one’s life.
“Creativity has the power to change the world!”
